Who Qualifies As A Singaporean Or Permanent Resident?

A Singaporean or Permanent Resident is a citizen of Singapore or a Permanent Resident granted that status by the Singapore government. If you are in the country temporarily as a visitor or here on an employment pass, you are considered a “Foreigner” and are not required to pay the levy.

Who Qualifies As A Foreigner?

A Foreigner is any person who is not a Singaporean or Permanent Resident and who is 21 years or older seeking to gain entry to the casino. A Foreigner must show a foreign passport with a short term immigration pass, long term visitor pass with a photo ID or with a foreign passport, student pass with a photo ID or with a foreign passport or a work pass, an identification card issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to diplomats and professional staff in international organizations, a work pass with a photo or a special pass with a photo issued by the Ministry of Manpower or Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (those carrying work passes that do not feature a photograph, must also present their foreign passport) upon request. A Foreigner is not required to pay the entry levy (those carrying work passes that do not feature a photograph, must also present their foreign passport).

What Is A Levy?

A levy is the payment a Singaporean or permanent resident must make in order to gain access to the casino portion of Marina Bay Sands. All other areas of the resort are open to all without a levy.

How Can I Purchase A Levy?

You are encouraged to purchase the levy prior to arriving at the resort. This can be done online. Once the levy is paid, your NRIC number is added to the casino access list so that when you arrive you scan your NRIC card, driver’s license, SAF identification card or Re-Entry Permit  at the beginning of an entry lane marked “Singaporean / PR”, and enter the casino because our system will know that you have paid the entry levy.

How Long Can I stay?

The daily entry levy is $100, and is valid for 24 consecutive hours starting from the time of first entry into the casino. The daily entry levy will expire if entry has not taken place by the end of the 30th day after the date of purchase. During the permitted 24 hours you may enter and exit the casino freely. If you purchased the annual, $2,000 levy, the annual entry levy is valid for 12 months starting from either (a) the time of first entry into the casino, or (b) 90 days after the date of payment, whichever is earlier.

Can I Purchase The Levy And Use It At A Later Date?

Yes. However, the daily entry levy will expire if entry has not taken place by the end of the 30th day after the date of purchase. The annual entry is valid for 12 months starting from either the time you enter the casino or 90 days after the date of payment, whichever is earlier.

What Qualifies As Proper Identification?

• Foreign Passports with short-term immigration pass.

• Long-term visit pass with photograph identification.

• Long-term visit pass without photograph identification together with foreign passport.

• Student pass with photograph identification.

• Student pass without photograph identification together with foreign passport.

• Work pass with photograph.

• Identification cards issued by Ministry of Foreign Affairs to Diplomats in Foreign Embassies and Professional Staff in International Organizations.

• Special Pass with photograph identification issued by the Manpower or Immigration Checkpoint Authority (ICA).

How Can I Find Out How Much Time Is Left On Either My Daily Or Annual Levy?
