David Thompson

Thompson began sharpening his expertise in Thai cuisine during his first visit to Thailand in 1986. The Australian chef and restaurateur co-founded Nahm in London and it became the first Thai restaurant to earn a Michelin star. He is also the author of two books about Thai cuisine — Thai Food and Thai Street Food.

  • Awarded Best New Restaurant (Asian) for Long Chim in Wine & Dine Singapore's Top Restaurants 2016
  • Nahm ranked 1st on Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants 2014, and 13th on World’s Best Restaurants 2014
  • Awarded one Michelin star for Nahm within six months of its opening in London in 2001
