Pre-commitment Programme

To encourage our patrons to play responsibly, Marina Bay Sands has established the Marina Bay Sands Pre-Commitment Programme. The Marina Bay Sands Pre-Commitment Programme, which patrons may utilise free of charge, allows patrons to plan their gambling expenditure by voluntarily setting a limit on their gambling expenditure over a 24-hour period.

Marina Bay Sands hopes to facilitate responsible gambling through the Pre-Commitment Programme by allowing our patrons to plan their gambling expenditure beforehand.

Patrons who wish to enrol into the Pre-Commitment Programme should download and email the completed Pre-Commitment Programme Application Form to PCP@marinabaysands.com, and proceed to the Casino Cashier at their next visit to the casino. The Casino Cashier personnel will then assist patrons to complete the enrolment process.

Enrolment into the Pre-Commitment Programme takes immediate effect upon completion of the enrolment process. Patrons enrolled on the Pre-Commitment Programme will be required to establish an account with Marina Bay Sands where patrons will be able to deposit funds up to the amount of their planned gambling expenditure. Patrons will draw down on these funds for their gambling activities in the Casino over a 24 hour period commencing from the time of their first deposit.

Patrons are responsible for setting their own gambling expenditures. Marina Bay Sands will not advise patrons on the appropriate amount for their gambling expenditure for the purposes of the Pre-Commitment Programme.

Once a patron is enrolled on the Pre-Commitment Programme, he will only be allowed to purchase his entry levy at the Entry Levy Counter located at the Casino entrances. This measure is implemented so that Entry Levy Counter personnel can direct patrons under the Pre-Commitment Programme to proceed to the Casino Cashier to deposit funds up to the Limit which they set during the enrolment process, which they can then use for their gambling activities in the Casino. Patrons who are annual levy holders will be advised during the enrolment process to approach the Casino Cashier to deposit funds up to the Limit which they set during the enrolment process.

Once the patron uses up the funds deposited in his account under the Pre-Commitment Programme and his winnings (if any) i.e. reaches his limit, he must inform the Casino Cashier personnel.

A patron who reaches his limit will not be allowed to deposit more funds at the Casino Cashier until 24 hours have elapsed from the time of the patron’s deposit.

A patron who reaches his limit may, at Marina Bay Sands’ discretion, be requested to leave the Casino for a minimum period of 24 hours. If a patron is invited to leave the Casino under the Pre-Commitment Programme, any unused portion of his entry levy (if any) will not be refunded for that 24 hour period.

If the patron wishes to increase his or her limit or withdraw from the Pre-Commitment Programme, he or she may approach Casino Cashier personnel for assistance, and will be required to complete the ‘Pre-Commitment Programme Request for Change or Cancellation Form’, and the increase in limit or withdrawal from the Pre-Commitment Programme will take effect 24 hours after submission of the form.

The patron may decrease his limit by filling in the ‘Pre-Commitment Programme Request for Change or Cancellation Form’ at the Casino Cashier and the decrease in limit will take effect immediately.
