Based on the eponymous French novel by Gaston Leroux, The Phantom of the Opera revolves around a beautiful soprano, Christine, who becomes the obsession of an enigmatic, disfigured musical genius dwelling in the labyrinth beneath the Paris Opera House. Learn what makes this much-loved musical, which is set for a brand-new run at Sands Theatre, tick.

1. 2 Hours - How long it takes to put on the Phantom character’s makeup (It can be removed in 30 minutes).

2. Each performance features 230 costumes, 14 dressers, 281 candles, and 10 fog and smoke machines.

3. The Phantom of the Opera features some of composer Andrew Lloyd Webber’s most famous songs, including Think of Me and Music of the Night. The original cast recording has sold over 40 million copies worldwide.
