Jamie Foxx

Born Eric Marlon Bishop in Terrell, Texas, on December 13, 1967, Jamie Foxx’s evolution into a bonafide star and all-round entertainer began when he moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in comedy after finishing college. From 1991 to 1994, he had a spot in the sketch comedy series In Living Color, and starred in his own series, The Jamie Foxx Show, from 1996 till 2001. He also appeared in several movies with strong supporting roles in Any Given Sunday (1999), alongside Al Pacino and Cameron Diaz, and Ali (2001), opposite Will Smith. He got his big break when he was cast a Ray Charles in the movie Ray (2004) and the rest, as they say, is history.
