Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents of Singapore must purchase a valid Entry Levy to enter the Casino. To assist individuals who are required to purchase the Casino Entry Levy, Marina Bay Sands would like to provide helpful information to ensure that you are prepared for your visit to the Casino.

General Rules

1. You are not allowed to enter or remain within the Casino if

a. you are under 21 years of age ( "Minor");

b. you are subject to an Exclusion Order issued by the Singapore Authorities, excluded by law or if you are barred by Marina Bay Sands Pte Ltd ("Excluded Person");

c. MBS shall be entitled to reclaim all winnings paid to a Minor or an Excluded Person. All winnings payable to a Minor or an Excluded Person shall be forfeited by the Minor or Excluded Person.

Penalty: Any minor entering or remaining within the Casino shall be guilty of an offence and liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $1,000.

2. Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents must enter and exit the Casino only via the lanes designated 'Singapore/PR'.

3. If you are not a Singapore Citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident, you must enter and exit the Casino only via the lanes designated 'Foreigners'.

4. Non-residents must produce identification documents to show that they are not Singapore Citizens or Permanent Residents of Singapore e.g., foreign passports with short term immigration passes or work passes with photos.

Conditions of Entry

1. Entry Levy for Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents

a. Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents are required to purchase a valid entry levy before entering the Casino:

i. Daily entry levy: S$100. This levy is activated at the time of first entry into the Casino. It is valid for 24 consecutive hours. This levy will expire if entry has not taken place by the end of the 30th day after the date of purchase.

ii. Annual entry levy: S$2,000. This levy is activated either (1) at the time of first entry into the Casino, or (2) 90 days after the date of purchase, whichever is earlier. It is valid for 12 consecutive months and will end at 11:59:59pm on the day prior to the anniversary of its activation.

b. Entry levy/levies paid are not refundable or transferable.

c. It is an OFFENCE for any Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident to enter or remain in the Casino without purchasing a valid entry levy. If convicted, you may be liable for a fine of up to S$1,000 and the amount of the applicable entry levy.

2. Entry and Exit Only Through Designated Lanes

a. Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents must enter and exit the Casino only via the lanes designated 'Singapore/PR'.

b. If you are not a Singapore Citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident, you must enter and exit the Casino only via the lanes designated 'Foreigners'.

3. Over-staying without valid Entry Levy

a. If your entry levy has expired, it is an OFFENCE to:

i. remain in the Casino i.e., over-stay; and

ii. fail to pay the applicable entry levy/levies for the over-stay period before leaving the Casino.

b. If you are convicted, you may be liable for a fine of up to S$1,000 and the amount of the applicable entry levy/levies due for the over-stay period.

c. It is your responsibility to CHECK that your entry levy is valid before exiting the Casino by swiping your identification document at the kiosks located near the Casino exits.

d. If your entry levy has expired, please proceed to the Casino Cashier or Entry Levy Kiosks located near the Casino exits to purchase the applicable entry levy/levies due for the over-stay period before exiting the Casino.

4. Game Rules

a. Information on game rules and house rules are provided in the game rule kiosks located on the gaming floor.

b. All games are conducted in accordance with game rules and house rules and your participation in any game is deemed to be an acceptance of the applicable game rules and house rules.

Additional Information on Entry Levy

1. Entry Levy payments may be made by cash, NETS, debit or credit cards accepted by Marina Bay Sands, cash cards, cashier orders and money orders only.

2. Entry Levy purchased is (i) non-transferable and (ii) non-refundable in any circumstances, including issuance of Exclusion Orders or imposition of Visit Limits.

How to Purchase Entry Levy

1. Entry Levy can be purchased at the following locations:

a. Entry Levy Kiosks and Cashier Counters located at the entrances to the Casino

b. AXS Kiosks

2. Identification documents will be required for verification when purchasing Entry Levy.

Possession of Casino Chips

1. It is an OFFENCE to remove from the Marina Bay Sands integrated resort, casino chips or slot machine vouchers of an aggregate value of S$10,000 or more.

2. If you are convicted, you may be liable for a fine up to S$150,000 or sentenced to an imprisonment term not exceeding 5 years or both.

Prohibition against Passing of Chips

1. Insurance Betting between Patrons is illegal.

2. Passing or sharing of NN chips; and or exchanging of NN chips with cash chips is prohibited.

Right to Declare Game Result Void

Marina Bay Sands will declare a game void if there is any malfunction or fault in or interruption in the operation of any part of any gaming machine or gaming equipment that affects the outcome of that game. Marina Bay Sands may declare a game void if (i) there is a force majeure event that disrupts that game; (ii) it knows or reasonably suspects that a patron is committing or has committed an offence under the Casino Control Act or any other written law in such a manner as may affect the outcome of that game; or (iii) circumstance require that the game be voided under the approved game rules. If the game is declared void, Marina Bay Sands will (i) notify every patron playing that game that the game has been declared void; and (ii) refund all wagers and all players will forfeit all winnings.

Entry and Exit Only Through Designated Lanes
 

  1. Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents must enter and exit the Casino only via the lanes designated 'Singapore/PR'.
     
  2. If you are not a Singapore Citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident, you must enter and exit the Casino only via the lanes designated 'Foreigners'.

1. Who qualifies as a Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident?
Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident is a citizen of Singapore or a Permanent Resident granted that status by the Singapore government. If you are in the country temporarily as a visitor or here on an employment pass, you are considered a “Non-resident” and are not required to pay the Entry Levy.
 
2. Who qualifies as a Non-resident?
Non-resident is any person age 21 years or older who is not a Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident seeking to gain entry into the Casino. A Non-resident is required to present Proper Identification prior to entering the Casino. A Non-resident is not required to pay the Entry Levy (those carrying work passes that do not feature a photograph, must also present their foreign passport).
 
3. What will be accepted as Proper Identification?
Patrons must upon request produce valid identification documents for verification checks of their age, identity and Entry Levy payment status (if applicable).
 

For Singaporeans and Permanent Residents:

a. National Registration Identification Cards ('NRIC');

b. Driving licences issued by the Singapore Traffic Police ('Singapore Driving Licences');

c. Singapore Armed Forces ('SAF') identification cards;

d. Singapore Civil Defence Force National Service ('SCDF NS') identification cards;

e. Singapore Police Force National Service ('SPF NS') identification cards;

f. Re-entry permits with passports issued to Singapore Permanent Residents ('SPRs');

g. Passports issued by the Singapore Government; or

h. NRIC collection slips issued by the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority ('ICA'), together with an original identification document issued by the Singapore Government which contains both a photo identification and date of birth

For Non-residents:

a. Foreign passport with any of the following:

i. Short-term immigration pass;

ii. Long-term visit pass without photograph identification;

iii. Student’s pass without photograph identification;

iv. Notification of cancellation of student’s pass, visit pass and embarkation form issued by the ICA;

v. Notification letter issued by the Ministry of Manpower allowing the person named in the letter to work and stay in Singapore until issuance of his/her work pass card; or

vi. Immigration (Exemption) Order Stamp of the ICA (in the foreign passport);

b. Long-term visit pass with photograph identification;

c. Student’s pass with photograph identification;

d. Work pass;

e. Ministry of Foreign Affairs Identification Cards issued to Diplomats in Foreign Embassies and Professional Staff in International Organisations;

f. Special pass with photograph identification issued by the Ministry of Manpower or the ICA; or 

g. Dependent’s Pass issued by the Ministry of Manpower


4. What is an Entry Levy?
An Entry Levy is the payment a Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident must make in order to gain access to the Casino. All other areas of the resort are open to all and do not require an Entry Levy.
 
5. How long can I stay?
The daily Entry Levy is S$100, and is valid for 24 consecutive hours and is activated at the time of first entry into the Casino. The daily Entry Levy will expire if entry has not taken place by the end of the 30th day after the date of purchase. During the permitted 24 hours you may enter and exit the Casino freely. The annual levy is S$2,000, and is valid for 12 consecutive months and will end at 11:59:59pm on the day prior to the anniversary of its activation. The annual Entry Levy is activated either (1) at the time of first entry into the Casino, or (2) 90 days after the date of purchase, whichever is earlier. 
 
6. Can I purchase the Entry Levy and use it at a later date?
Yes. However, the daily Entry Levy will expire if entry has not taken place by the end of the 30th day after the date of purchase. The annual Entry Levy is valid valid for 12 consecutive months and will end at 11:59:59pm on the day prior to the anniversary of its activation. The annual Entry Levy is activated either (1) at the time of first entry into the Casino, or (2) 90 days after the date of purchase, whichever is earlier. 
 
7. How can I find out how much time is left on either my daily or annual Entry Levy?
Just swipe your NRIC card or enter your NRIC number into any Sands Rewards Club kiosk located in the casino.
