Renowned for its poetic storytelling and lush visuals, In The Mood For Love is widely regarded as one of the most elegantly beautiful films ever made. With an emotionally rich score composed by Shigeru Umebayashi, this fully restored classic promises to be an immersive cinematic experience like no other.
First released in 2000, In The Mood For Love tells the tender, bittersweet story of a man (Tony Leung Chiu-wai) and a woman (Maggie Cheung) who discover their spouses are having an affair together. As they grapple with their own loneliness, they slowly form a deep connection that is both restrained and profoundly moving.
Premiering at the Cannes Film Festival, the film received universal acclaim, earning a nomination for the prestigious Palme d’Or and winning Tony Leung the Best Actor award — the first for a Hong Kong actor. Today, it remains a landmark of Asian cinema, frequently listed among the greatest films of all time.
The Singapore season will be conducted by homegrown, renowned conductor Joshua Tan, who won the 2nd Prize at the 2008 Dimitri Mitropoulos International Competition.

Doors open 60 minutes before the show. We strongly encourage guests to arrive early. Kindly note that latecomers will not be admitted into the venue until a suitable break during the performance.
No food or drinks are allowed in the venue unless bought or served as part of the event. All outside food and drink items not bought or served as part of the event will have to be consumed / discarded prior to entry.
