Delvaux was established in 1829 by Charles Delvaux in Brussels, Belgium. With a focus on uncompromising craftsmanship, the family-owned business has stayed true to its roots by describing, sketching and cataloguing some 3,000 handbag designs into Delvaux’s Golden Book, also known as the ‘Livre d’Or’.

Delvaux, steeped in the spirit of Belgian surrealism, brings a witty approach to its creations, imbuing each design with an unconventional take on luxury. The leather goods house is known for its brilliant insight; in 1875, it envisioned a potential travel revolution based on the fact that Belgium had the world’s greatest number of rail networks. Delvaux filed its first patents for women handbags in 1908, thus marking its title as pioneer of modern handbags in the present day.
