Spaceship Earth needs your ideas! Stand a chance to win a 2D1N staycation!

“We are all astronauts on a little spaceship called Earth.” — Buckminster Fuller

Buckminster Fuller coined the phrase "Spaceship Earth" to describe our planet. He felt that all human beings were passengers on Spaceship Earth, and, like the crew of a large ship, people had to work together in order to keep the planet functioning properly.

What do you think the future of Spaceship Earth looks like? Tell us how you can contribute to the betterment of Spaceship Earth and the people living on it and stand to win attractive prizes!

1x Grand Prize
The best entry will win a 2D1N Staycation at Marina Bay Sands (worth S$660) and an ArtScience Friends Group Membership (worth S$298).

4x Consolation Prizes
Four runner-ups will receive consolation prizes of ArtScience Friends Duo Memberships (worth S$168).

To participate in the contest:
 

• Create a drawing or a sculpture or even a video of yourself talking about your idea.
• Post your entry on your own social media page, make it public and hashtag #ASMSpaceshipEarth by 30 June 2022, 12.00pm (SGT).
• Follow ArtScience Museum’s official Instagram account @artsciencemuseumsg or ArtScience Museum’s Facebook page @ArtScienceMuseum.

The panel of judges include Charu Kokate (Partner and Director, Safdie Architects Singapore), Roger Simons (Director, Sustainability, Marina Bay Sands), Adrian George (Director, Programmes, Exhibitions and Museum Services, ArtScience Museum), and entries will be judged based on the following criteria:

• Sustainability
• Practicality
