More than Human

More than Human explores the connections between people, plants, animals and our shared world. It is a large-scale exhibition that inspires visitors of all ages to discover how people learn from nature, work with living systems and imagine new ways to care for the planet. At its heart is a simple question: what might the future look like if we designed not just for people, but with animals, plants and entire ecosystems in mind?

Featuring more than 140 artworks, objects, immersive installations, new commissions and hands-on experiences, More than Human brings together international artists, designers, architects, researchers and communities, whose work shows how creativity can reshape the way we understand nature and our place within it.

The exhibition introduces more-than-human design, an approach that considers the needs of animals, plants and ecosystems. Through playful and thought-provoking works, visitors can explore how living things are connected, and how care and cooperation can shape a better shared future.

More than Human encourages us to see the world anew. From forests and oceans to gardens and everyday materials, it inspires us to notice the living systems that support us and imagine how we can care for them. It offers a new way of seeing ourselves: not apart from nature, but as part of a larger family of life.

More than Human is a touring exhibition from the Design Museum, London, developed in collaboration with Future Observatory (UK), the Design Museum’s national research programme for the green transition, and supported by the UKRI Arts and Humanities Research Council (UK). Expanded for Singapore with new works and perspectives from across Asia, this edition is co-curated by ArtScience Museum and the Design Museum, London, and supported by DesignSingapore Council.
