Nana Lou is a gentle soul – she loves life, botany and her family. But as the big departure approaches, Nana Lou is caught between two worlds – and she is not ready to leave hers just yet.
As the body wanes and the mind leaps into a wondrous journey of a colourful past filled with love, joy and regret, a series of cloudy memories confront Nana Lou, and she needs help to untether them to move on.
As a passer-spirit who accompanies her into the next phase of life's journey, come guide Nana Lou across the borders of the mind, body and spirit in this moving immersive interactive experience inspired by true life events.
Inspired by the pioneering work of physician Elisabeth Kübler-Ross on end-of-life care, artist Isabelle Andreani crafts a moving story reflective of her own relationship with her grandmother, on how memory entanglements can imbue reality, and how conversations around palliative care can be complex but sensitively and positively navigated.
Isabelle Andreani is a screenwriter and director, with a Master's degree in engineering. physics, and IT management. She has been innovating in interactive content and digital experiences for the past twenty five years, and is also a lecturer in storytelling in new media. Her latest project Nana Lou was selected as part of the Venice International Film Festival 2024 immersive competition.
