Rev up for Singapore Grand Prix

Arriving on the scene in 2008, the Singapore Grand Prix’s Marina Bay Street Circuit has rapidly established itself as a standout. As the only F1 night-time race, the 5.063 km circuit features 23 corners and weaves through the city with hairpin turns.

Located in the heart of the city, the circuit has become a landmark itself; a fitting accolade as the track snakes past several of the city’s notable landmarks and attractions. Each lap begins near the Singapore Flyer before approaching the Padang, followed by the Esplanade and The Float @ Marina Bay; finally, the track leads racers down the glistening Marina Bay waterfront where they’ll catch a glimpse of Marina Bay Sands.

Getting here

Public transport is your best option for getting to and from the race. The mass rapid transit (MRT) offers an efficient way to get around the city and travel to the circuit. On race days, MRT services run on extended hours with free shuttle services from select MRT stations.

The main entrance gates to the track are just a short walk away from several MRT stations. Popular stops like Promenade station on the Circle and Downtown Line are closest to Formula 1 Paddock Club (Zone 1), while City Hall (East-West Line and North-South Line) and Esplanade (Circle Line) are also nearby.

Ticketing Zones

Circuit Park is where the action happens. The Stamford, Padang, and Connaught stands are crowd-pleasing seating areas that emanate raucous energy. If you seek a direct jolt of hype and electricity, head to Turn 1. This area of the track offers Insta-worthy views that will give you goosebumps. Watch sparks fly as the incredible F1 cars take off from the starting grid and speed towards the first corner.

Money Changers and ATMs

While you’re away from all the drama on the tarmac, take a wander around Circuit Park and you’ll discover many other things to see and do. Though most places will accept credit cards, it’s best to keep cash handy to make purchases - you’ll find ATMs all over the city to withdraw cash.
