These protocols are often above and beyond mandatory regulations, based on current epidemiological and scientific findings, and harnessing technology and our resources to be the best in every category.

Across the IR, you’ll find that we have re-imagined how the future of hospitality looks like, in the following areas:

Safe Distancing

Reduction of operating capacity at any one time to adhere to prevailing government guidelines. This will significantly reduce the density of crowds, especially during peak periods. Groups cannot exceed 5 persons, including at restaurants and individual hotel rooms and suites. Safe Distancing Ambassadors are deployed at key areas to disperse crowds and ensure measures are adhered to.

Crowd Reduction

The crowd control extends to the IR's over 10,000-strong workforce: Many Team Members will be working from home in the initial phases, in order to reduce inter-mingling and minimise risks.

Temperature screening

Thermal cameras will be placed at entrances to allow security staff to conduct non-invasive temperature checks of all Team Members and guests. Anyone displaying a temperature of 38°C and above will be politely turned away.

SG Clean and more

Enhanced frequency in cleaning and sanitisation in all public spaces and high-touch contact surfaces using hospital-grade disinfectants; deep cleaning procedures will also increase.

Contactless journey

Minimising physical interactions through contactless payment solutions and contactless delivery of service, luggage and other hotel amenities wherever possible.

Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Mandatory usage of masks for all guests and staff. Face shields will be used in certain guest-facing functions, while goggles are being designed to be deployed in the future.



Clean technology

Electrostatic sprayers will be utilised to apply hospital-grade disinfectant on high-touch surfaces, including in hotel guest rooms, public spaces and offices.

Improving air quality

Maximising our fresh-air intake to increase external air flow into the building and optimising exhaust air quantities for removal. Where possible, we’ve installed hospital-grade HEPA filters to trap and remove particles and viruses.


Active monitoring

All visitors will need to log in to the Government’s SafeEntry system for contact tracing purposes, and undergo temperature screening, when they enter the property.

Our already stringent cleaning and disinfecting protocols have been upgraded to reflect the current situation. In each room, guests will receive a welcome amenity pack with surface disinfectant, spray hand sanitiser, a touchless tool key, disposable gloves and a mask container.

Before you book

Kindly note that Marina Bay Sands has reopened all three towers of our Hotel, albeit with reduced capacity to adhere to the Government’s safe management regulations. To ensure that all guests have the opportunity to enjoy the Infinity Pool, we will limit access to the Pool to one hour per room, per day, through a queue management system.

Travelers should also check the current restrictions and conditions associated with travel to Singapore. The latest advisories on the local situation is available on the Singapore Ministry of Health website.

If you currently have a booking with us and are affected by prevailing travel restrictions, we will allow full changes or cancellations without any penalties, to 5 days prior to arrival, as long as your arrival date is before 30 Jun 2021. For arrival date after 30 Jun 2021, we will only allow full changes to a reservation. Changes to a future date will also be subject to room availability and rate differences.

This policy also applies for bookings made via online travel agents or other third-party travel platforms. However, if your booking is made through a third-party site or party, please contact them directly as additional policies may apply.
