SPECIAL EVENT

Goldshop to Pajak Gadai

Presented with a set of tools and materials accumulated by the artist, participants will reflect on how value is assigned to everyday objects.

Participants will receive 10 objects of odds and ends in various shapes, form and size, ranging from fixtures and fittings of household items to industrial parts or solely, fragments collected by the artist.

Objects are assigned a value through the act of gliding using a gold leaf, in comparison to its mundane state. This construction in value is a collective state that would influence its regard 200 years on.
