A wondrous world hidden within a cup – the traditional Japanese tea ceremony comes alive in Sen, an immersive VR experience nominated for competition at the 80th Venice International Film Festival’s Extended Reality division. The journey begins with a tea-bowl in hand, where a tiny being is slowly awakening within the world of tea.

Developed by Layers of Reality and Blit Studios, Exquisite Corpse extends visitors' immersive journey at Frida Kahlo: The Life of an Icon by furthering the use of cutting-edge technology to transport participants into the intimate moments of resilience and inspiration that unfolded from the confines of Frida’s bed where she often lay in recovery.

The Line is an 15-20 minute embodied VR interactive narrative experience about love and the fear of change. Set upon a scale-model of 1940s São Paulo, the experience transforms the user into a child who unlocks this enchanted world.

The work unveils the invisible yet symbiotic connections that bind the animal, plant, human and natural worlds into one enchanting tapestry of wonder – all in stunning virtual reality.
