Marina Bay Sands Presents teamLab At ArtScience Museum, i Light, 2016
As part of i Light 2016 and commissioned by Marina Bay Sands, Japanese artist collective teamLab will project their interactive artwork, What a Loving & Beautiful World onto the exterior of the ArtScience Museum from 4 to 27 March 2016. This projection coincides with the launch of ArtScience's Museum's permanent exhibition, Future World: Where Art Meets Science, which is a partnership with teamLab.
Be part of the creation of an immersive, computer-generated world. What a Loving & Beautiful World is an interactive artwork that lets you choose what is projected onto ArtScience Museum – directly from your smart phone!
Go to teamLab's i Light website, then simply select a Chinese character on your smart-phone and ‘swipe’ the character onto the façade of the building, and watch it transform into a beautiful picture before your eyes. See the projected pictures interact with one another, creating animations inspired by nature. For instance, if you choose the Chinese character for wind, the wind influences the landscape. Choose a butterfly, and it will move towards flowers, and away from fire, and so on. The result is a mesmerizing, colourful, multi-sensory experience that continuously evolves as you interact with it.
