COVID-19 has significantly changed the hospitality world. Post-pandemic visitor expectations of the "New Normal" - public health conditions, sanitisation and hygiene standards across the tourism industry will be unlike anything we have experienced before.

While we remain closed for now, Marina Bay Sands has been working hard to boost our business resiliency and enhance public health after the pandemic. Some 40 taskforces have been set up during the current temporary closure to explore how to improve operations in the post-COVID world, from reimagining our MICE and F&B venue set-up to designing masks and goggles that seek to protect both staff and guests.

Some 1,000 staff – working in staggered shifts – in security, facilities and cleaning departments have been deployed on site during this period to maintain the cleanliness and safety of our iconic property.

We aim to create a safe and controlled environment for our guests and Team Members when we re-open, using innovative technologies to redesign the integrated resort’s hardware and customer experience.

Already certified as an SG Clean venue, Marina Bay Sands is working towards even higher standards of hygiene and sanitisation measures above and beyond regulatory requirements.

We look forward to welcoming you back when we re-open.

In the meantime, stay connected to us at and as well as ArtScience Museum's latest online offering ArtScience at Home.

Stay safe, stay healthy. Together we can overcome.

Marina Bay Sands is SG Clean

Marina Bay Sands is SG Clean

Marina Bay Sands is pleased to be certified SG Clean by the Singapore Government in recognition of our commitment towards the highest levels of sanitization and hygiene. The stamp of assurance applies to our hotel, casino, Sands Expo and Convention Centre, The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands and its tenants, our restaurants, as well as attractions such as ArtScience Museum.

Marina Bay Sands donates 15,000 kg of food to charities

Ahead of its one-month closure, Marina Bay Sands rallied its restaurants and donated nearly 15,000 kg worth of perishables, such as breads, vegetables, fruits, herbs, meat and dairy products, and 3,600 eggs to The Food Bank Singapore, a charity that collects excess food from food suppliers and re-distributes it to organisations such as old folks' homes, family service centres and soup kitchens. As an integrated resort, we consume a lot of food every day, from our staff dining rooms to our restaurants. For the next one month, we may be pausing action, but we hope our donated food will fill up the tables of the underprivileged and keep them warm and full during these unprecedented times,” said Christine Sheares, Vice President, F&B, Marina Bay Sands.

Added Nicholas Ng, Co-founder of The Food Bank Singapore, "We truly appreciate Marina Bay Sands’ thoughtfulness and generosity. Our donations and volunteer involvement have been badly impacted by the pandemic. The sponsored food will help alleviate the food insecurity concerns of our beneficiary members. We would like to call out to more organisations to join Marina Bay Sands and donate their excess food to feed the hungry.
