ArtScience Cinema is ArtScience Museum's first purpose-built screening room. It presents a diverse range of curated programming that includes feature films, cinematic retrospectives, film festival selections, documentaries and more. ArtScience Cinema boasts spacious, comfortable seating and high-quality surround-sound wireless headphones for a truly immersive cinematic experience.

Contours of Being is a film programme about the meditation on bodies shaped by time, care, memory, and the quiet persistence of everyday gesture. With three pairings tracing life’s contours, where flesh holds memory. From Naomi Kawase to Agnes Varda, cinema listens to bodies in time - be it weathered hands, faces or tender silhouettes that sculpt and resist the anatomical ideal.

Late Spring
Commissioned for the smallest of screens as part of ArtScience at Home in 2020, Micro-Commissions features short films by some of Singapore's most prominent artists and filmmakers.
Kicking off the series is Lei Yuan Bin's Late Spring, an homage to film legend Yasujiro Ozu's masterpiece of the same name. -
ArtScience On Screen: Prophecy
Prophecy is a collaboration between filmmaker Gladys Ng, writer Zoea Tania and musician thistlemorse. It invites the audience to contemplate our earthly and spiritual existence through imagery both vast and microscopic.

In this special spooky edition, five illustrators reimagine this classic as a local folklore, an architect shows us the horror(s) in architecture, and an experimental essay offers us a poetic response to this expressionist classic.
