Programmes

ArtScience on Screen: Up and Away

27 May – 14 July & 1 Aug – 31 Aug
Free admission | Venue: Expression Gallery, Level 4

A family-friendly film programme featuring some of cinema’s most iconic balloon adventures. Experience flight, fantasy and inflated balloons as a selection of brave young heroes go on bold expeditions, to make new friends and follow their curiosity.

This programme is part of a season of events and activities curated in response to our latest exhibition, Floating Utopias: The Transformative Power of Inflatable Art (23 May - 29 September 2019).

Please refer to our Facebook event page for more details.

Museo Aero Solar Drop-in Workshop

27 Jul & 31 Aug | 2pm - 6pm
Venue: Rainbow Room, Basement 2

This is an opportunity for visitors to contribute to the making of a collective artwork, Museo Aero Solar, a project initiated by Tomás Saraceno and Alberto Pesavento in 2007.

In the space, visitors will use recycled plastic bags, which will be cut to shape and stuck together using tape. During the course of the exhibition, visitors will slowly create a large colourful patchwork of bags which will eventually create a large flying sculpture.

Bring your own recycled plastic bags to become a part of the Museo Aero Solar community.
