Singapore is known as a culinary destination among food enthusiasts all over the world. The rich, diverse culture has resulted in Singapore’s distinct food scene, which has drawn some of the best celebrity chefs from around the globe to launch award-winning restaurants at Marina Bay Sands.

Wolfgang Puck

Wolfgang Puck

For Wolfgang Puck, joy and passion for cooking started from a young age. While growing up in Austria, Wolfgang Puck learnt the culinary arts from his mother, who was a pastry chef. He eventually took his natural flair for food to France, cooking in renowned restaurants such as the Hotel de Paris in Monaco and the Michelin 3-starred L’Oustau de Baumanière in Provence.

In 1982, Wolfgang Puck opened his first restaurant, Spago, in West Hollywood. Aside from his talents with creating exquisite food and drinks, he also elevated ambiance and service with unparalleled attention to the smallest of details. Today, Spago Dining Room in Singapore recreates much of the magic found at his original Beverly Hills restaurant. It is joined by Spago Bar & Lounge and CUT for a trio of dining delights at Marina Bay Sands by Wolfgang Puck.

Spago Dining Room

The name Spago carries with it a reputation that far exceeds its Los Angeles roots. Redefining the dining experience for forty years, the restaurant can now be found on Singapore's shores. Located at the rooftop of Marina Bay Sands and overlooking the Marina Bay area, Spago Dining Room's menu and fine dining experiences are as spectacular as the views of the city.

Spago has won multiple awards with its feast of flavours, including Forbes Travel Guide Four Star Restaurant 2017-2021 and Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice 2021. The Miso Broiled Ora King Salmon and Double Lamb Chop are signature must-tries. If you have room, the Traditional Kaiserschmarrn is a sweet way to end your rooftop dining experience. Make sure you pair everything with a glass of wine or two from their extensive list and you’ll have an epicurean treat to remember.

Spago Dining Room is located at L57, Sands SkyPark, Hotel Tower 2.

Spago Bar and Lounge

Spago Bar & Lounge

Perched on top of the world on the 57th floor, Spago Bar & Lounge is perfect for a nice lunch or impromptu work drinks. Dine alfresco and you’ll find the lounge terrace with iconic views of the city while you dig into a selection of artisanal house cocktails and light bites. The Chicken ‘Laksa’ Spring Roll and the Big Eye Tuna Tartare Cones are the perfect pairings with a cocktail.

End the workday with Spago’s Sundowners, available Mon – Thu, 2.30pm – 7pm. Pick four bites and enjoy drink choices of beer, wines or cocktails. Be sure to try Good Girls Gone Bad for a delicious mixture of spiced rum, coconut, pineapple and Thai chili, combining sugar and spice for a truly one-of-a-kind cocktail.

Spago Bar & Lounge is located at L57, Sands SkyPark, Hotel Tower 2

Gordon Ramsay

Gordon Ramsay

Eccentric, extravagant, and excellent, Gordon Ramsay is one of the most recognisable and respected chefs worldwide. From world-class restaurants to television shows, Ramsay’s popularity is a testament to his dedication and unique personality, and his influence can be felt throughout the industry.

Though he first dreamed of becoming a footballer, a serious knee injury prompted him to change his plans. Discovering a new passion, Gordon Ramsay’s culinary training began with studying under some of the best chefs and culinary professionals globally, including Albert Roux, Marco Pierre White, and Guy Savoy. A move to France took his skills to the next level, before a return to London in 1993, where Ramsay became Head Chef of the newly opened Aubergine. Three years later, the restaurant was awarded two Michelin stars.

Along with being the star of well-known television shows such as Hell’s Kitchen and Kitchen Nightmares, Gordon Ramsay is the owner of several restaurants around the world, including the USA, France, China, Qatar, and of course, Singapore.

Daniel Boulud

Daniel Boulud

For many food and drink enthusiasts, French cuisine and cooking techniques have long been the gold standard to measure the best of what gastronomy has to offer. A leading advocate for this instrumental style of cooking is Daniel Boulud. Like many great chefs, he found his early love for food as a young child. Boulud grew up on a farm in Lyon and was often in the kitchen by his grandmother’s side, watching her cook for the family.

His first professional foray into cooking was a series of Michelin Star apprenticeships under celebrated French masters, including Gerard Nandron, Georges Blanc, and Roger Verge. After a four-year tenure in various prestigious hotels and restaurants in Copenhagen, Boulud went to New York in 1982, where his talent exploded and set the cast for his burgeoning culinary empire. From his three Michelin-starred flagship, DANIEL, to his restaurants across the globe, Boulud brings a contemporary appeal to soulful dishes rooted in the French tradition.

Classics such as French Onion Soup and Burgundy Escargots will transport you to the rustic sidewalks of quaint Parisian towns. For seafood lovers, the Seasonal Oysters are indulgent offerings bursting with oceanic freshness and flavour, as well as the Signature Seafood Platters and the New England Lobster Roll. In addition to the range of seafood and bistro favourites, db Bistro’s world-renowned collection of signature burgers and rustic meat dishes are incredible. The Original DB Burger and the New York Burger are tender cuts of delicious goodness.

Tetsuya Wakuda

Tetsuya Wakuda

Chef Tetsuya Wakuda grew up in Hamamatsu, Japan, near Mount Fuji. His love for food was evident from his earliest years, with memories of time spent fishing in the prefecture’s beautiful lakes. After heading to Australia in 1982, Wakuda found his first job as a kitchen hand at Fishwives in Surry Hills. A year later, a chance meeting with Chef Tony Bilson saw Chef Wakuda become a sushi chef at Kinsela. The experience proved to be revelatory as Wakuda learned classical French techniques that would later become the trademark of his approach to cooking.

By 1989, he opened his own restaurant, Tetsuya’s, which quickly became one of the most popular restaurants in Sydney and has been consistently included in the World’s 50 Best Restaurants list. In 2010, Tetsuya embarked upon an exciting culinary venture with the opening of Waku Ghin at Marina Bay Sands. Since then, the trendy restaurant has gone on to win numerous awards, including Michelin Stars in 2016, 2017, and 2019.

It’s not just what’s on the plate that dazzles. The revamped dining space designed by award-winning Japanese designer Yohei Akao seamlessly incorporates a simple aesthetic accented with touches of intricate and natural detailing that reflect the promise of a bespoke epicurean journey. The must-try signature dishes are the Salmon Caviar and Sea urchin with Rice and the WG Grilled Wagyu Beef set on Rice.
